To avoid the Individual Shared Responsibility Payment, contact a PBA to determine if you qualify for SoonerCare/Medicaid-CHIP or tax credits and special cost savings programs on the Health Insurance Marketplace. If you do not qualify or obtain insurance coverage, you can opt to file the Native American Hardship Exemption through the Health Insurance Marketplace to avoid the Individual Shared Responsibility Payment.
