Dr. Obhrai Relocates to Shawnee Clinic - 5/13/24

Effective May 13th, 2024, Dr. Obhrai will relocate to our Shawnee Clinic location as a full-time Pediatric provider.

If you wish to continue seeing Dr. Obhrai as your pediatrician at our Shawnee Clinic, please call 405.878.5850 to schedule an appointment.

If you do not wish to continue pediatric services with Dr. Obhrai after her relocation, please call 405.447.0300 to schedule a Transfer of Care appointment with one of our other Little Axe Health Center Pediatricians.

New COVID Guidelines

COVID guidelines have changed as we continue to fight against COVID. Please review the following:

  • COVID patients no longer need to be separated in waiting areas.
  • Patients do not need to wait in their vehicles at our locations.
  • Symptomatic patients do not need to use separate entrances/exits.

You must wear a mask in waiting areas if you have COVID symptoms!

The purpose of the Diabetes and Wellness Education Department is to inform Native Americans on healthy lifestyle changes through education and awareness. Our primary goals are to prevent or slow the progression of diabetes and prevent complications from diabetes and to improve the lives of those affected by diabetes.

Ingredients
  • 1 -Pint of Strawberries
  • 1 -container of sugar free whipped cream
  • 1 -8 oz package of 1/3 fat cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/2 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 1 -package of sugar free cheesecake pudding
  • 1 -gallon zip lock bag
Directions:
  1. Fold together whipped cream and pudding until well blended.
  2. Add cream cheese and vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Place into freezer bag and chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

The Absentee Shawnee Fitness Program has been working with the AST Tribal Youth Program in promoting physical activity to help prevent diabetes among tribal youth. AST Tribal Youth Program participants have really enjoyed the games that the Fitness program has provided. The goal of the Absentee Shawnee Fitness Program is to provide an outlet for exercise and physical activity through fun games and activities. The youth are learning about healthy ways to prevent diabetes through healthy physical activity. The Absentee Shawnee Fitness Program would like to thank the AST Tribal Youth Program for allowing the Fitness staff to educate and provide activities for the youth to prevent diabetes.

  • Visit our new, convenient drive-thru at the Little Axe location for refill drop off or pick up!!
  • As of January 1, 2012, Oklahoma State Law mandates that a current, state issued photo ID be on file for both the patient and the representative picking up for EVERY fill of ANY controlled medication. 
  • Deliveries of controlled medications will no longer be allowed.
  • Both Shawnee and Little Axe pharmacy locations fill prescriptions for members of all tribes, but outside prescription orders are restricted to Absentee Shawnee Tribal citizens with established charts. 
  • If you would like to receive a text message to your cell phone when your medications are ready for pick-up, please alert the pharmacy staff and provide us with a current cell phone number.
