Traditions, attitudes about aging, and other attributes of families and cultural groups have important influences on health and well-being.  Looking specifically at the implications of dementia, the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System is making dementia awareness and services a primary focus.  This video provides a small window into the life of someone striving to improve his health and well-being through participation in the Music and Memory program.

Dr. Anne Fernando will leave the Health System on September 13, 2024. She is relocating to another state due to a new opportunity. Please join us in expressing our gratitude for her exceptional care during her time with us!
